Since I have been absent from this quilting group for several months, I thought I would take a few minutes to re-introduce myself. I am the fool who thought she could start a virtual quilting group and do a major remodel. It did not work so well. I apologize for my long absence. Here is a part of what has kept me away.
I haven't had a functioning kitchen for the past 3 months. I finally threw my hands in the air last week and made the bold decision to quilt again. What's another week tacked onto the 3 months?
It felt so good to quilt again! Here is what I have accomplished.
A colorful flower for Kristen.
Some festive trees for Lara.
A very bright star for Mardie.
And an homage to chickens for Julie.
I have taken a couple of days off to tackle the kitchen again...Oh to have a great home cooked meal instead of from a crockpot, toaster oven, microwave or grill...
I will be sending all of you fabric swatches for my block this month. I will hand deliver to the locals and mail yours, Julie. So...get the creative juices flowing...think Christmas....traditional Christmas.

Wow! Those all look great! Your chickens are so creative. Love them. It's so fun to see what everyone has done with theirs. Your kitchen is going to be beautiful. Hang in there!
Wow!! and Wow! again. The squares are wonderful and when I got home there was my "Scrappy Square" on my desk. Woo Hoo! The rest look wonderful. Great job.
Your kitchen project looks like it will turn out beautifully. How can we help?
Thanks again!
Mardie
Thank you Courtney and Mardie.
Mardie, I am finished prepping the cabinets (the cabinet maker did a great job) now Connie and I are going to practice painting with the sprayer and then paint them!!! After that I can have the countertops installed. Since we gutted the entire kitchen, I will then start adding the appliances. First thing on my list is a cooktop!
They all look wonderful! I love your chickens! I also have my block and Jen S. block for Kristen.
