It's still February somewhere, right?

I am so glad to get a chance to use my darling little duckies!

I didn't realize how much the facing on the white points would show...darn.
I also hope I did the center circle right. I couldn't find any instructions. But then, it is "just" a circle. LOL

Anybody have a good technique for turning the edges on a circle to keep it a circle?

Jennifer, I hope you like it.  I enjoyed making it and learning a new technique. (Thanks for all the goodies, too!)

There Is Sunshine In My Heart Today

Here is a quick look at my Dresden Plate square.

My mom walked in while I was putting this together and fell in love with the pattern.  Guess who now wants a yellow/blue Dresden Plate quilt?  I wonder if I have it in me to sew one up by Mother's Day?

Here is the Christmas Tree quilt square that I did for myself.  I have contemplated starting over and putting two colors to make the tree.  It's why I haven't posted the pic until now.  I think I will wait until I get the other trees to make a final decision.

It is Llewellyn again.....

Finally, I got my act together and did Jennifer S. dresden, right. Such a fun pattern, when you know how to do it. It is almost finish. I'm going to attempt to post some pics of other things I have done, with the help of Julie. She quilted two of my quilts and they are lovely.

Venting

I just need to VENT. I know why I'm not a seamstress. I have never made anything that I didn't do a really big screw up. Quilting has been no exception. Marnita your square is done and Jennifer I have cut out all the pieces and sewn them together and before putting the twenty together I realized that I had sewn them up wrong. Soooo, now I'll recut all twenty so that I don't have to pick out stitches. Well, I guess I feel better after the "true confessions" session.

I check everyday to see if anyone has posted pictures, words of wisdom or just chit chat about quilting. I miss the roll that we were on, where we were sharing what they were doing.

I actually have pictures I could post as soon as I figure out how to do it.

Cruise Control Sewing....

First off, I LOVE my new Janome sewing machine!!!   It has the best feature that I call "cruise control"!!!   Meaning, I don't have to use the pedal to sew.....I unplug the pedal and hit the "start/stop" button.....cruising along with my sewing...BEST. FEATURE. EVER.

Here are my Christmas trees for Marnita.....

And  my Dresden plate for Jennifer S.  I have to say that I have wanted to do a Dresden plate for a very long time now but I was very intimidated by this design.....this was so easy and fun!!!!!  Now, I want to make my own.   Jennifer, the picture isn't great since I have to use my iphone....but the flowers have the blue and a lot of white in them.  It doesn't look this dark in person.  I hope it works for you...if not I will  make you another one and keep this one  --- I am ready to get started on my own squares!!!

 Hope you both enjoy!
