Fun with Flowers and Friends

Jennifer R.  let me come over and we both finished our flower blocks!  Whew,  They were fun.  Hope this is not to chunky...I don't have girls, so sometimes I go a little overboard on ruffely girly stuff.  Lots of pleats and gathers and ribbonish layers.  Thank you Jenn R.'s mom for the vintage buttons!

I hope it is okay.  I got everything lined up great except for one section.  I hope it will work.  I will get it to you this week.

Now I’m going to work on my next project with this lovely material that I just bought.

Sherbet Pips.  I’ve been wanting it for months.

Better Late Then Never Pt 2

Well after many technical difficulties I can finally post pictures of what my mom and I accomplished last weekend.  I have to say there’s nothing better than staying up until 3:30 with your mom and sister sewing and laughing.  Did YOU know that Mcdonalds serves breakfast at 2:00 am?  It was delicious!  Smile  Here are our quilt blocks.

These are my mom’s blocks:

Better Late Then Never...Part 1

Here are my first late, late, late blocks that I've completed. I hope you guys like them, and I hope the fabric is okay for you. I'm trying to finish up the others tonight....assuming I finish cleaning my house.

Sew fun with Julie

Got t spend time in Idaho with my BFF Julie Larson.  Here is what we accomplished:
Hope you love um Lora!  We were talking and it would be fun to put quilt batting in them to make them poof more.

YES those are peanut butter M & M's in the background.  They help me sew better.   I LOVE the chicken fabric,  Julie!  I  love the brown chicken who is holding her baby and realizing anotherone is hatching!  So true to life.  Had sew much fun at the quilting shop with Jule.  Could not decide which yummy trim to use.... so I used um ALL!  Sew much fabric...sew little time...and energy.
Here are SOME of the things Julie has been up to:
See if you can zoom in to see the snowflake quilting and details!
Isn't this breathtaking!  The photo does not do these rich colors justice.  This is for her bed-too pretty!
Yummmy to my tummy!  This is the happiest quilt ever!  I love the pecos too.  soooo sweet.

Julie, you are SO talented, smart, pretty, and a true friend.  (I once heard someone say that they like to surround themselves with people better than theirself.-- I must say it works for me.

Thank you my friend!  It was the best!
